This is not your typical decaf coffee rendered flat by chemicals, nor is it the slightly better version stripped of caffein and flavor by the long-revered Swiss Water Process. This is EA “Sugarcane” decaf. Don’t Be Hasty Decaf is a single-origin Colombia from the Risaralda region. A natural byproduct of sugarcane is used to gently wash away the caffeine while leaving the origin flavors entirely intact. It is surprisingly sweet and complex for a decaf, boasting a heavy, creamy mouthfeel, notes of rich brown sugar, and a bright pop of cherry.
