Club meetings are paused as I settle into a new move! Stay tuned for the future of the Home Roaster’s Coffee Club

What’s with the “club”?

A man with red hair and a beard drinks from a white cup while sitting at a wooden table in a dimly lit room.

The Home Roasters Coffee Club is a community for coffee lovers who share a passion for roasting. Whether you're brand new to roasting or have been perfecting your craft for years, this is a space to connect, share knowledge, and celebrate the art (and chaos) of home coffee roasting.

My Roasting Journey (Or: Why I Started This Club)

I with an iron skillet over a charcoal grill—and it was rough! From there, I experimented with a popcorn popper, tried my hand with an air fryer, and am now on my current FreshRoast SR800. Over the years of experimenting with home roasting I have learned many many things and always wanted a community passionate about roasting coffee to share what I have learned, learn new things, and to share roasts with!

That’s why I created the Home Roasters Coffee Club. Think of it like a book club—but instead of pages, we roast beans. Whether you’re here to perfect your craft or just figure out where to start, we’d love to have you.

Club Meetings

With Compass Coffee opening a new cafe and myself moving down to SE Portland, I have paused coffee club meetings for now. Stay tuned for the future of the home roaster’s coffee club
