What’s with the “club”?

The Home Roasters Coffee Club is a community for coffee lovers who share a passion for roasting. Whether you're brand new to roasting or have been perfecting your craft for years, this is a space to connect, share knowledge, and celebrate the art (and chaos) of home coffee roasting. We meet every month in-person to share coffee, roast together, and learn. Come join the community on our HRCC Google Group! It’s our main hub for conversation between meetups, club updates, helpful resources, and community in general.

My Roasting Journey (Or: Why I Started This Club)

I with an iron skillet over a charcoal grill—and it was rough! From there, I experimented with a popcorn popper, tried my hand with an air fryer, and am now on my current FreshRoast SR800. Over the years of experimenting with home roasting I have learned many many things and always wanted a community passionate about roasting coffee to share what I have learned, learn new things, and to share roasts with!

That’s why I created the Home Roasters Coffee Club. Think of it like a book club—but instead of pages, we roast beans. Whether you’re here to perfect your craft or just figure out where to start, we’d love to have you.

Club Meetings

Special thank you to Brian Wray of Compass Coffee! This space gives us the chance to actually roast together! I bringing some gear, Bryan provides some gear, and you’re encouraged to bring your own roaster if you’d like to roast on-site. Whether you’re just starting out or deep into home roasting, you’re welcome here.
